Thanksgiving Turkey

I often use clip art from openclipart.org or clker.com. These clip art are free and public domain.

I found Thanksgiving turkey on clker.com, Thanksgiving Turkey by Kara78.

I changed background with Inkscape, orange color #f26011.

Then I used Gradient tool to create a color gradient.

I also made coloring page. I changed all colors to white, except stroke paint of course, which stays black.

Fall Photos

Wow. I'm on Squidoo home page for the fourth time in a row. This time my first page lens is Fall Photos, http://www.squidoo.com/fall-photos .

I took few photos last Autumn, and they looked a bit boring and grayish. So I made a few tricks with Gimp and photos looked prettier at once. It is really easy and it doesn't take much time.

Try it yourself.

http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File%3AAldrin_Apollo_11.jpg

My lens Astronaut for Halloween got on the first page on Squidoo (www.squidoo.com).

It was made for Squid-Zone SquidQuest where we had to use Squidoo's new Sci-Fi theme. We were able to write about anything we wanted.

So I thought why not Halloween costumes? Astronaut Halloween costume is really nice costume and kids can also use it for pretend games too.

I found few astronaut suits on Amazon.com. Take a look if you would like to be an astronaut. Are you ready? 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0.

In my Astronaut for Halloween lens you can find astronaut suits, helmet, boots, back pack, everything you need to be an astronaut.

So here is my Astronaut for Halloween lens: http://www.squidoo.com/astronaut-for-halloween.

What do you think about the costumes? And what do you think about new Sci-Fi theme?

Raster Graphic Definition

Raster graphic definition: it means that photos are made of many small points or pixels. Pixel is a single point in a raster image. Raster graphics images are also called bitmaps.

You can see that here in enlarged photos. They are about 1500 % larger than photo "Autumn tree" below. And you can try it yourself too, just zoom (enlarge) your photo to 1500% and you'll see a lot of unrecognizable little squares.

You can find more about raster graphic here.

And here you can find Gimp tutorial Fall photos for photo editing. We can change photos very easily with changing colors or cropping and resizing. We can also add frames and get quite unique photos.
