Jack and the Beanstalk - Food for Thought
Jack and the Beanstalk is a classic English fairy tale. It's a story about a boy who made a seemingly bad bargain exchanging a cow for a few beans. But these beans prove to be magical and give him an opportunity to explore a whole new world. There he finds a giant who is loaded with gold and other precious things.
Jack steals some of them which results in running for his life. Eventually, he kills the giant and starts living in completely different circumstances. This simple story is so popular thanks to its powerful symbolism which is explained in this chart.
The chart was made in Inkscape and free icons from OpenClipart and Pixabay were used. Each image was placed according to the physical position in the story (Jack's world, the giant's world, and elements between), some resizing was required, and additional text was placed below each of the ten selected objects.
