Comfortable because you won't run out of plates if you get extra visitors and you won't have to wash all the plates after Thanksgiving dinner like you may if you have melamine or porcelain plates.

At first I made it a bit lighter with Inkscape.
I used Extensions - Color and then mostly Brighter (about five times), Less Light and More Saturation. Actually I just tried few options and if I didn't like it, I used Undo.

Then I tried how it would look like with orange background, where I used color #f26011 and Gradient tool.

I often use clip art from openclipart.org or clker.com. These clip art are free and public domain.

I found Thanksgiving turkey on clker.com, Thanksgiving Turkey by Kara78.

I changed background with Inkscape, orange color #f26011.

Then I used Gradient tool to create a color gradient.

I also made coloring page. I changed all colors to white, except stroke paint of course, which stays black.
